March 2, 2024: It's been a while since we've added an update...our apologies. A lot has been happening. We relocate our inventory to a new climate controlled facility, while this took a great deal of time it was necessary to keep our costs in check. We were also, at the last minute, able to enter into the Family Day Collecticon event on the Hamilton Mountain.
As things stand right now we have two events on the schedule:
Niagara Falls Comic-con: June 7-9, 2024 at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre.
Beachstrip Garage Sale: Sunday July 7, 2024 along the Hamilton Beachstrip. This event is weather permitting.
August 21, 2023: We are excited to announce our involvement in the 2023 Hamilton Comic-Con taking place September 23 & 24 at the Royal Warplane Heritage Museum at the Hamilton Airport. We did this event in 2019 and despite the fact this was our first large event, and we really didn't know what we were doing, it was a good event. Hopefully we will see you there.
July 10, 2023: Having just finished the Hamilton Beachstrip Garage sale event (and yes, we had great weather), we currently have nothing on our event calendar. However, expect to see something added before the end of July as we are in the final stages of adding our next event.

February 18, 2023: We've arranged to attend the March 5, 2023 Ancaster Toy & Collectibles Expo. This is a great event for collectors of all types: LP's, Fungo's, games, cards, and of course...DVD's & BR's. Hope to see you there.

January 26, 2023: We've been sitting on this news for a couple weeks, but had to wait until all the t's were crossed and all the i's were dotted before making this announcement. Our attendance has now been confirmed at Canada's Premier Horror Event "Shock-Stock" in London, Ontario. Please mark May 5-7, 2023 on you calendar and we'll see you there.

January 11, 2023: We are pleased to announce two events added to our 2023 calendar. We are returning to the Niagara Falls Comic-con June 9-11. This was the biggest event on our 2022 calendar and was so much fun. We are also returning to the Hamilton Beachstrip Garage Sale July 9. This event offers a lot of low price deals on mainstream titles. It is an outdoor event so will be weather permitting of course. We also hope to announce multiple additional events over the next few weeks.

January 4, 2023: Happy New Year! After a brief rest (events, while fun, are exhausting) we are starting to put together our 2023 event schedule. We don't have any events in the schedule right now, however we have begun discussions with several organizations (some will be events we've attended in previous years, and others will be events brand new to us) and hope to provide an update soon.
November 27, 2022: Well, we just finished the final two events of the year. Neither event went very well, but we still met and chatted with some wonderful people. At this point we're going to start looking at what events we want to do in 2023 and we'll start posting our 2023 schedule in the new year.
November 7, 2022: Well, Firghtmare in the Falls is now over. It was a fun (and at times scary) event; but it's now time to put away the ghosts and goblins and look ahead. To that end we've just added another event, which means we have two more scheduled shows before the year end.
The Ancaster Toy & Collectibles Show: Sunday November 20 at the Ancaster Fairground, Ancaster, ON
Retrocon: Saturday November 26 at the Hamilton Convention Centre (just added to our schedule)
October 27, 2022: Tomorrow is the start of "Frightmare in the Falls". We are really excited to be attending our first ever horror themed show. We've recently added over 100 horror DVD's and BR's to our inventory. Plus, for the first time ever, we are coming to the show with a small number of Horror VHS tapes. Hopefully we'll see you there.
September 20, 2022: We had another wonderful time at a Comic-con. This time we were in London and the people were very friendly. Our costumes of Dumbledore and Prof. McGonagall were a hit. I even had a little magic trick handy that was astonishing the kids....and maybe even a few adults. Here are some of the pictures from the event.

August 30, 2022: We can now officially announce two more events for the 2022 calendar. While it is unlikely we will be adding any additional events we are on the waiting list for a few other small local events that we think might be a good fit. So here is the remaining 2022 calendar:
The London Comic-con: September 17 & 18 at the RBC Place downtown London, ON.
Frightmare in the Falls: October 28 & 29 at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre, Niagara Falls, ON. (This is our first horror themed show)
The Ancaster Toy & Collectibles Show: November 20 at the Ancaster Fairground, Ancaster, ON
August 22, 2022: Yesterday's event in Ancaster was wonderful. It was great seeing so many faces that we hadn't seen since before the pandemic. Add to that all the new people we met. It appeared to be a great day for all.
So, as of right now we only have the London Comic-con (Sept. 17 & 18) on our schedule, however, we are working hard to firm up several more events before the end of the year.
August 2, 2022: The event yesterday was a huge success. We met lots of wonderful people and had a great time. As always, we hope that the people who walked away with DVD's and Blu-ray's from us have many hours of enjoyable entertainment. The CollectiCon events happen monthly, however we aren't able to make every month. We're working with their team to figure out which event(s) we'll be able to attend between now and the year end. In the meantime here is the current calendar of events:

July 30, 2022: BREAKING NEWS - we have confirmed our attendance at the Hamilton Mountain Collecticon event on Monday August 1st. (Yes, in two days). I realize this is short notice, however we had the opportunity to fill in for a last minute cancelation. We've heard lots of good things about this event from other vendors. If you'd like to check it out the address is Michelangelo's Banquet Hall, 1555 Upper Ottawa Street, Hamilton, ON. The event runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm. Hope to see you there.
July 13, 2022: We don't have any pictures, however the Hamilton Beachstrip Garage Sale event was a resounding success. We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at the park, met lots of wonderful people, and helped many of them find that movie or collection they were looking for. No confirmed events until late August, however we are on the wait list for an event in early August and we hope a spot may come available at the last minute.
June 25, 2022: We are pleased to announce that we have confirmed our attendance in the London, ON Comic-con September 17-18 at RBC Place. (Formerly the London Convention Centre). This event started in 2014 and has had over 10,000 attendees in the past. We are excited to be joining this event and look forward to meeting lots of wonderful movie buffs from the Ontario South West.

June 24, 2022: We are pleased to announce that we have confirmed our attendance in the Ancaster Toy & Collectible show August 21, 2022. Over the years we have attended this event on several occasions and enjoy all the amazing people we meet. If you are situated in Ancaster or the surrounding area, we would love to see you there. More updates to follow shortly.
June 19, 2022: They say that an education is expensive, but that ignorance is more expensive. Yesterday, I was educated. We learned that we will not be working with Pop Culture Canada again. The Bolton event we attended was poorly advertised, poorly attended, and misrepresented as a Comic-con event when it was only a vendor market. We did spend some time speaking with some of the other vendors and did get some leads on other show opportunities, which, should they pan out we will tell you about later. In the meantime, the only event currently on our calendar is the July 10, 2022 Hamilton Beachstrip garage sale which is outdoors and therefore weather permitting.

June 5, 2022: The Niagara Falls Comic-con 2022 is now complete. To everyone we met, thank you for helping to make this such a wonderful experience for us. I hope we were able to help improve your comic-con experience as well. April 22, 2022: ANOTHER EVENT ADDED TO THE 2022 CALENDAR: We can confirm that we will be setting up a small booth at the June 18, 2022 Bolton Comic-con. We have never participated in any comic-con run by Pop Culture Canada before, however it appears they run several regional comic-cons across central Ontario. We thought we would give one a shot and see what it was like. At this event we will be bringing some affordable mainstream titles, along with a moderate supply of horror/cult/camp titles.
Our current 2022 calendar looks as follows:
June 3-5: Niagara Falls Comic-con
June 18: Bolton Comic-con
July 10: Hamilton Beachstrip Garage Sale (weather permitting)
February 2, 2022: EXCITING NEWS. We can confirm that we will be setting up a booth at this years Niagara Falls Comic-con. This will be our biggest event yet. We were supposed to attend the Niagara Falls Comic-con in 2020, however the onset of the pandemic put a stop to that quickly. We expect to come with a wide variety of cult, horror, science fiction, and television titles; many of which we don't currently have listed on this website. This event runs June 3, 4, and 5 at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre. We hope to see you there.
February 2: 2022: We can confirm that we will be setting up at the Hamilton Beachstrip Garage sale on Sunday July 10th. At this event we will be bringing more mainstream titles than we would have listed on this website. There will be very little overlap with the types of items taken to the Comic-con in June. This is one of the biggest garage sales in the country. There are roughly 3 to 4 kilometres of private homes and independent vendors set up with a wide variety of products. This is a day long event and is weather permitting. Let's hope for a nice day with no rain and maybe we'll see you there.
